Power Plant Manager
Dr. Holger Bräuer was born in 1953 in Geesthacht near Hamburg.
He studied energy and process engineering at the Technical University in Berlin and the University of Hanover.
Dr Holger Bräuer subsequently joined the faculty A of thermodynamics at the Technical University in Munich for six years before receiving a doctor’s degree in 1988.
Until 1990, he worked as technical assistant to the power plant administration and from 1991 to 1992 he acted as specialist engineer for the new construction at the Staudinger power plant.
Following various jobs involving project management at PreussenElektra (at present E.ON) and power plant management of the Emden power plant, Dr Holger Bräuer assumed the position of power plant manager of the Wilhelmshaven power plant in 1997. Since 2003, he has also been managing director of the biomass combined heat and power plant Emden GmbH.
Mr. Bräuer is married with two grown-up daughters.
